J2 is excited to share these several multi-year public agreements spanning Loudoun County and the City of Fairfax. We take pride in serving multiple communities in Virginia and holding numerous on-call site/civil engineering, design, transportation, and survey contracts with public municipalities and agencies – as prime and sub-consultant – across the state. We have won more than ten on-call contracts in the last five years.

J2 currently holds on-call site/civil engineering, design, transportation, and survey contracts with several public municipalities and agencies – both as prime and sub-consultants.

City of Fairfax General Civil Engineering and Surveying
The J2 City of Fairfax contract for civil engineering design and surveying spans a full range of Capital Improvement Projects. Work will include roads, sidewalks, trails, stormwater and wastewater design, bridges, utility work, comprehensive site plans for Capital Improvement Projects, and associated public coordination.

Loudoun County Task Order Intersection Improvement Design Services
We are excited to announce our win and partnership with Gorove Slade on the Loudoun County Task Order Intersection Improvement Design Services. Our open-ended contract for intersection improvements exists for one year with up to four one-year renewal options. Our proven working knowledge of Loudoun County spans long-term and short-term plans, its existing transportation infrastructure, and its departments and its processes. We know the County’s Intersection Improvement Program, understand contract expectations, and are ready for their task-order work’s unique demands.

Loudoun County Public Schools On-call Civil and Environmental Engineering Services Contract
J2 Engineers proudly announces our Loudoun County Public Schools‘ (LCPS) On-call Civil and Environmental Engineering contract win. Notably, this award marks our third consecutive five-year LCPS Civil and Environmental Engineering contract with the school district. J2 will support the school system with site/civil engineering for the next five years.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Loudoun County Public Schools,” states Jeff Gilliland, principal, J2 Engineers. “I’ve worked with Loudoun County Public Schools for more than 20 years and have a unique perspective into the district’s needs, zoning, and design and construction standards.” Gilliland served as the Contract Manager for J2’s civil engineering contract with LCPS from 2010-2014 and 2015-2020. Loudoun County Task Order Roadway & Transportation Design Services
J2 is thrilled to announce that we are selected for our second consecutive Loudoun County five-year on-call roadway and transportation design services contract, supporting the County’s Capital Improvement Program. Notably, we are ranked 1st out of six shortlisted firms and sixteen total proposal submissions. J2 was one of the on-call consultants to Loudoun County Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure from 2015-2020.

Loudoun County Route 15 Widening from Battlefield Parkway to Montressor Road

J2 is preparing design and construction documents for widening of 3.5+ miles of Route 15 from two-lanes to four-lanes with a divided median, including innovative intersection alternatives at King Street and Montressor Road.
