Loudoun County Public Schools Goshen Post Elementary

J2 led the engineering for Loudoun County’s Goshen Post Elementary School facility design along with surveying, transportation and traffic design, utility coordination, and landscape architecture.

Ranking number one, J2 is one of four firms awarded the on-call contract. We will provide solutions for various civil engineering projects to maintain, improve, or expand the school district’s facilities and infrastructure. The school system’s plans are in the Capital Improvement Program for 2021-2026. Projects include constructing new schools in high growth areas, altering existing facilities, alleviating capacity deficits with classroom additions, creating support facilities for staff and space needs, and implementing facilities maintenance and replacement.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Loudoun County Public Schools,” states Jeff Gilliland, principal, J2 Engineers. “I’ve worked with Loudoun County Public Schools for more than 20 years and have a unique perspective into the district’s needs, zoning, and design and construction standards.” Gilliland served as the Contract Manager for J2’s civil engineering contract with LCPS from 2010-2014 and 2015-2020.

Due to rapid growth in the region, LCPS remains one of the fastest-growing school divisions in Virginia and the third-largest county school division in the Commonwealth. J2 understands that LCPS needs responsive, innovative, and experienced consultants who understand school planning, design, and construction rigors. Our 10-year history with LCPS provides our team with a unique understanding of the school system’s diversity of projects in both size and scope. Our experience with LCPS includes more than 45 projects encompassing planning, surveying, site/civil engineering, landscape design, and construction phase support. We are proud of the relationship and work we have developed with LCPS over the past decade.
