J2 Partners with Women Giving Back to Help Families This Holiday Season

J2 is excited to be partnering with Women Giving Back (WGB) on their annual Santa’s Workshop kids program for the third consecutive year. We focus on teens aged 12-17 to bridge a gap in WGB donations as the organization typically receives far fewer presents for teenagers. We gave twice as many gifts this year as our last drive in 2019. In 2020, due to Covid protocols, WGB did not collect gifts, and we hosted an online donation campaign to supplement our efforts. This year’s contribution included teen clothing, presents, gift cards, and money.

The WGB Santa’s Workshop invites disadvantaged mothers to come in on a Saturday before the holidays to “shop” with an “elf” for their families. This year, close to 200 mothers and approximately 400 children will benefit from the program. Mothers will go home with one bag of clothes, one bag of shoes, one bag of coats and accessories, up to four bags of gifts and toys, and stocking stuffers for their children. The goal is for each child to have brand new clothes and shoes, along with three to four gifts for the holidays. Teenagers will receive one gift card as one of their holiday presents. In addition to presents and clothes, WGB provides wrapping paper and bows so their children can have the complete holiday experience of opening gifts.

Women Giving Back supports women and children in crisis on the first step to stability by providing quality clothing at no cost. Their warehouse is extra crowded during December leading up to Santa’s Workshop program.

J2 is overjoyed to help local teenagers in need. We send a huge thank you to all our employees and clients who participated in the teen clothing and gift drive.

Santa’s Workshop divides donations into sections based on age, like you would see in most stores, to enhance the shopping experience for mothers.
