The Ashburn Village Boulevard/Route 7 Interchange project was a proffered improvement associated with the One Loudoun project. The plans were prepared as a privately funded design/build transportation project. The adjacent property owners were being directly impacted by restricted site access and right of way impacts.
We prepared a design concept that would shift the ramps north and not adversely impact the entire interchange or bridge design. The plans went through the standard VDOT review process and received concurrence the modification were acceptable.
We completed the roadway design, revised ramp geometrics, revised ramp profiles, and developed shopping center access. The design revised drainage layout (new culvert design), the floodplain alteration plans (floodplain design) and environmental impact permits.
