Broad Run High School project is an expansion and renovation of the existing campus. The project involved the construction of ten classrooms to replace the existing nine trailers, as well as expansion of the cafeteria, two resource spaces, a health room, an orchestra room, and improvements to the auditorium and overall student circulation.
The project included a new senior parking lot to replace the existing parking lot removed for the classroom addition. The school’s bus loop was extended and included ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990) improvements, and the onsite fuel facility was be removed.
Renovations associated with the athletic facilities included drainage improvements; ticket booth upgrades; new or renovated press boxes for the softball, baseball, and stadium fields; stadium lighting, new restroom facilities; a team building; ADA compliant paths; stadium synthetic turf and track replacement, and a new shot put area. Grading of the band practice area, parking lot expansion and resurfacing will also be a part of the project scope.
