Loudoun County – Dept. of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure
Tall Cedar Parkway is a 3,200 LF divided 4—lane roadway for Loudoun County. It involved the extension of Tall Cedars Parkway from Pinebrook Road to Gum Springs Road on a new alignment that completes the final link of Tall Cedars Parkway. The County requested J2E to prepare an alignment that would utilize the reserved right of way within the corridor to reduce right of way costs and allow for coordination of future site access locations. J2E prepared a safe, cost-effective design that improves traffic flow and safety throughout the project corridor.
The design consisted of developing alignment studies, geometric design, grading, intersection configuration and bridge design. The project utilized reserved right of way and addressed connections to existing streets and site access issues, all while improving traffic flow on the surrounding roadway networks.
J2E provided survey, civil design, sewer design and utility coordination.
